The OMRON BF511 Blue uses an 8-sensor bioelectrical impedance system across the hands and feet to estimate body-composition metrics alongside body weight in one home monitoring device.
More than a standard bathroom scale
BF511 combines weight measurement with body-composition estimates including body fat percentage, visceral fat level, skeletal muscle percentage, BMI and resting metabolism. Personal profiles make repeat measurements easier for households with several users.
Six useful body-composition and weight indicators
Body weight
Measures body weight up to the device’s stated maximum capacity of 150kg.
Body fat & visceral fat
Estimates body fat percentage and visceral fat level using bioelectrical impedance.
Skeletal muscle
Estimates skeletal muscle percentage to add another dimension to body-composition tracking.
BMI & resting metabolism
Displays body mass index and an estimate of resting metabolism alongside the other readings.
Bioelectrical impedance through 8 sensors
The BF511 sends a very small electrical current through the body and uses measured impedance together with personal data to calculate composition estimates.
Hand + Foot Electrodes
Eight sensors capture impedance through both the upper and lower body.
Personal Profiles
Stores personal data for up to four users, with a guest mode for an additional one-off measurement.
